Banner Ads on Stardock.com

WAY low class, Stardock! For SHAME!!!! >

The banner had 4 colors on a white background, so you can't tell it's not part of the webpage, The banner says,"pick your favorite color and get a special prize" I think some cool stardock goodie is coming my way!!!!

I get all excited!!!

But what do I get? SPAM!! >

VERY LOW CLASS STARDOCK!! >

Sorry Guys and Gals, Just had to vent

I can't see it because my spystopper kills all ads, etc etc..

But whatever pays the bills...that is nothing...how bout an ad for the movie 'Core' where audio is played and it is looped every time you refresh or go to a new page on that site?

Again, spystopper killed it and I never seen it but for those who did...

I just went back there, this time they wanted me to join the navy, That's not so bad, The one I got first was extremely deceptive, and I'm sure not at thier intention, but man that steams me, when I am a paying OD customer and I get subjected to that... I was there to Re-download component manager because WB expired >

I don't think stardock has any say about what ads are shown, and the color was probably either a coincidence or maybe a js trick or something.

(can you reference the background color as a generic value from banner scripting, to make it match the background? Maybe if it is a css variable... dunno... If i weren't lazy i would view source... sadly, i am)

no pop ups for me either... hmmmm

you may want to check for Ad-Ware on your system, that doesn't sound like Stardock.... also if you are running Kazaa, or IMesh, Popups like crazy....

Look Closer, on the CM Page referenced in the first post there is a rotating add, I am an ODNT Member and a JourneyMan here at WinCusto so I think is matters not whether you pay or not.

It appears that it's just part of stardock.com that hasn't had it's face lift yet....
